The new Guttmann Barcelona center will mean a significant increase in existing healthcare provision for the city of Barcelona.

The new building houses two different and disruptive initiatives that represent a step further in the provision of services for people with disabilities: on the one hand the apartments for the promotion of independent life Guttmann Barcelona Life, fully adapted and automated; and on the other, the brain health clinic Brain Health Institute, which aims to provide the most advanced knowledge and clinical techniques, now available in the world, in order to offer patients the best and most effective diagnosis and specialized treatment in neurological diseases and their effects regarding the functionality of the people who suffer them.

The Brain Health Institute includes the Guttmann, NeuroPersonalClínic®, a highly specialized gymnasium in neurorehabilitation, equipped with the latest technologies and the most innovative therapies.

The new center is located where formerly the former Guttmann Institute hospital already existed, opened in 1965. The current building has almost 17,000 m², distributed in five floors including the apartments and the NeuroPersonalClínic; of these, approximately 3,700 are parking spaces for users.
