Copisa is awarded the civil engineering project to execute oil and gas wells in Romania

Copisa has signed a four-year framework contract (from February 2017 to February 2021) with the Romanian oil company OMV Petrom to build and expand several refinery production fields in the country for a cumulative potential value of 170 million euros (766 million Leu).
The contract covers construction of the roads and drilling fields, surface equipment and any building materials, equipment and other materials needed to execute and rehabilitate the wells. The OMV Petrom production areas where the drilling wells will be built are located in the regions of Banat, Moldavia, Oltenia, Muntenia and Moesia. These installations join those that Copisa has already built in Portugal, both of them in the petrochemical sector.
With a 70% share, Copisa and its Romanian subsidiary COPISA Construtii SRL lead one of the consortiums that was awarded these framework contracts. In this way, the Catalan company has gained a client that is a European giant in oil, natural gas and combined-cycle electrical energy product, a leader in its sector in Central and Eastern Europe, namely OMV Petrom.

Société d’Aménagement de Zenata (SAZ) has awarded Copisa the contract to urbanise a new neighbourhood near Casablanca (Morocco), for a total outlay of 18 million euros.
The future homes of the inhabitants of several slum areas in the town of Sidi Bernoussi-Zenata will be built in this new neighbourhood.
The urbanisation project will consist of earthworks, sanitation and rainwater conduits, basins and holes where these networks can be checked and street construction, as well as the pavements, lighting and urban furniture.
With this new project, Copisa will be reinforcing its activity in Morocco, a country where the company has been awarded four projects in the past five months totalling around 32 million euros.

Copisa concludes its first project in Costa Rica, participating in the construction of the Torito hydroelectric plant

Copisa Group has concluded its participation in executing the Torito Hydroelectric Project, which is a project within the construction of the Torito Hydroelectric Plant in Costa Rica, owned by Global Power Generation, a subsidiary of the international generation of Gas Natural Fenosa. The project consists in designing and building a concrete bridge over the Chagres River, Gamboa, to the east of the old existing structure. It will be 278 metres long with eight clearings 34.75 metres wide each. Plus, it will have two traffic lanes (one in each direction) 3.65 metres wide each and a pedestrian walkway one metre wide.
The project includes the rigid concrete paved accesses on either end, which will connect to the existing roads.
In addition to benefiting the community, this bridge is essential for the Panama Canal to operate.
