AENA has awarded Copisa the contract for remodelling the aerodrome to equip it for the activity of the EADS-CASA factory recently set up in the city, which is to build a new model of aircraft, the A-400M. For this reason and because of the increase in air traffic, a new taxiway, the R11, will be built from the factory’s apron to threshold 27 on the runway.

Awarding of the Contract for 13 Stations on Line 9 of the Barcelona Metro, Spain
Copisa in a temporary joint venture (U.T.E.) with FCC and OHL has been awarded the concession for the construction, maintenance and operation of 13 stations on Line 9 of the Barcelona Metro system. The concession was awarded under the “shadow toll” regime for 30 years plus construction time.
Rail Tunnel beneath the City of Madrid, Spain
Copisa in a temporary joint venture (U.T.E.) with FCC, Dragados and Tecsa has been awarded the contract for the construction of a rail tunnel that will link Atocha and Chamartín stations for AVE high-speed rail traffic. The tunnel will be approximately 7.3 km long, with 85% of it running below ground.
Remodeling of Laguna Station in Madrid, Spain
ADIF awards to Copisa the Remodeling of the Laguna station in Madrid of the C-5 linking the towns of Fuenlabrada-Móacoles-El Soto. The works will consist of the improvement of the vestibules, platforms, access tones, Such as actions in the electrical installation, plumbing, sanitation, fire protection, etc.

New Valencia Terminal Area Control Center, Spain
The Board of Directors of Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea has awarded Copisa the construction of the new control center building for the terminal area of Valencia airport (TACC) for 14.7 million euros. The nerve center of the new building will consist of a control room (airspace control) and an equipment room (equipment necessary for air traffic service). Annexed to these rooms will be the power rooms, the power supply plant, the air conditioning plant and other spaces for offices and common areas such as the cafeteria and meeting room. The new center will include a simulation module for training controllers in new procedures. The project includes interior roads, parking for 150 parking spaces, telecommunications networks and a clean point for waste collection.
Concession for the LAV High-Speed Railway Line, Subsection II, Almansa-La Encina de Albacete, Spain
The ADIF management board has awarded Copisa the contract for constructing Subsection II of the Madrid-Valencia high-speed railway line, from Almansa to La Encina de Albacete. The 108-kilometre-long works will lie some 100 metres from the existing Almansa motorway bypass.
Inauguration of the Hydros Building for Expo Zaragoza 2008
The Hydros building constructed by the temporary joint venture (U.T.E.) of EASA and EBROSA for the commissioners of Expo Zaragoza 2008 has been officially opened. The building contains 112 lodgings on a plot 5,455.59 m² and, once the Expo is over, these will be converted into apartments.
UOP (Honeywell Group) Awards CPI Copisa Industrial the Contract for a New Continuous Catalytic Regenerator
The Chicago-based American company UOP, which is part of the Honeywell Group, has awarded CPI Copisa Industrial the construction of a new continuous catalytic regenerator. Of a modular design, the plant will be fully assembled in the port of Tarragona (Spain) and then shipped to Brazil, where it will eventually be installed.
Rehabilitation of the Former Provincial Prison in Palencia, Spain
Copisa has been awarded the contract for rehabilitating the former provincial prison in Palencia for its subsequent conversion into a cultural civic centre. It will be equipped with rooms for the plastic and performing arts, a gymnasium, a crèche, a large library and facilities with youth areas and the like.
