Copisa Industrial completes construction of a thermal power plant in the Netherlands

Copisa Industrial, Grupo Copisa’s industrial division, has recently completed work on the construction of a combined cycle thermal power plant in the town of Maasbracht in the Netherlands. The project was awarded to Alstom Power, the energy division of French group Alstom, by electric utility Essent and its total cost has come to €36 million. Work began in December 2009 and took two years. Copisa Industrial has been responsible for the prefabrication of piping and auxiliary structures at its workshops in Tarragona and their subsequent assembly at the plant in the Netherlands, which has required the support of 500 workers of different nationalities (Spanish, Hungarian, Polish and Dutch).
