15 Jul New Valencia Terminal Area Control Center, Spain
The Board of Directors of Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea has awarded Copisa the construction of the new control center building for the terminal area of Valencia airport (TACC) for 14.7 million euros. The nerve center of the new building will consist of a control room (airspace control) and an equipment room (equipment necessary for air traffic service). Annexed to these rooms will be the power rooms, the power supply plant, the air conditioning plant and other spaces for offices and common areas such as the cafeteria and meeting room. The new center will include a simulation module for training controllers in new procedures. The project includes interior roads, parking for 150 parking spaces, telecommunications networks and a clean point for waste collection.
